Nomad is excited to announce the successful implementation of energy efficiency upgrades in several managed properties, thanks to the support of the Government ECO4 Grant. These enhancements include the free installation of new air source heat pumps, solar panels, wall insulation, and new radiators.
The ECO4 grant is a government scheme that provides landlords with free property upgrades for homes occupied by tenants receiving benefits This initiative helps keep Nomad’s managed properties warm and reduces energy bills, whilst making them more sustainable. Crucially, it presents a significant incentive for landlords to house tenants on benefits. The landlords who participate in this scheme can receive free upgrades to their properties, enhancing both their sustainability and market value.
“By offering these energy-efficient upgrades at no cost to landlords, we are making it more attractive for them to house tenants on the Local Housing Allowance rental rate,” said Karen, Head of Services. “This support helps us ensure that more people have access to comfortable, affordable, and sustainable housing, which is a win for landlords, tenants, and the environment.”
Nomad manages these properties, ensuring they meet high standards of efficiency and sustainability. The Government ECO4 Grant has been instrumental in enabling us to support landlords in making these necessary upgrades, thus providing high-quality living conditions for those in need.
