Client Success Story:
When Max first came to Nomad, he was in a difficult place and without a home. Moving into our Supported Exempt Accommodation provided him with a safe and supportive environment, allowing him to focus on getting his life back on track.
With the support of our Housing and Progression Officers, who helped him with applications, budgeting, and accessing additional resources, Max was able to enroll in a fashion course – a personal dream he had been unable to pursue before. As Max’s confidence grew, so did his independence. After a few months, he transitioned from Supported Exempt Accommodation to one of Nomad’s shared Houses of Multiple Occupancy (HMO), where he continued receiving guidance and support from our team. Living with others helped him further develop his skills and confidence, allowing him to thrive both academically and personally.
Recently, Max reached a major milestone: moving into his own private rented accommodation, marking the beginning of his fully independent life. Throughout his journey with Nomad, Max experienced the full housing pathway, gaining the stability, space, and independence to regain control of his life and fulfill his ambitions.
Max is now flourishing both academically and personally, making many new friends and connections through his fashion course. His need for support from Nomad is minimal, and he will only require assistance as and when needed. Safe, secure accommodation, combined with tailored support, played a crucial role in helping Max rebuild his confidence and achieve his goals.
